Seventeen-year-old Rohan is ousted from the Bishop Cotton all inclusive school in Shimla with three of his companions (Vikram, Benoy and Maninder) after they are seen watching a porno outside grounds in the evening. Rohan gets back to Jamshedpur, where his harsh, harmful, alcoholic dad, Bhairav Singh, and his six-year-old relative Arjun (about whom Rohan had not known) live. Bhairav compels him to run each day (dashing him the last leg) and work at his metalworking processing plant and go to designing classes at the nearby college. Bhairav communicates his failure in him with misuse, both verbal and physical, and embarrassment. Rohan is a storeroom author and his uncle, Jimmy, upholds his desire. 

Rohan purposely bombs his assessments so Bhairav will abandon him, liberating him to seek after his fantasy about turning into an essayist. Bhairav, brought to class to get Arjun, loses a significant agreement. Rohan gets back home to discover Arjun being hurried to the emergency clinic for an obscure explanation; as indicated by his dad, the kid tumbled down the steps. Rohan goes through a night in prison in the wake of harming Bhairav's vehicle when Bhairav will not help him. He returns home to track down his future stepmother and her family members in the house, and discovers that Arjun is leaving for life experience school the next day. Wishing Arjun karma, Rohan gets ready to venture out from home. He trades unpleasant words with Bhairav before his visitors before he punches him and runs off. Bhairav pursues Rohan through the roads by walking, yet can't make up for lost time to him. Rohan goes through the night at Jimmy's home, and the uncle addresses him about Arjun. The following morning, Rohan gets back and discovers Arjun holding up outside while Bhairav is gone to get an auto cart to send him to the all inclusive school. Rohan persuades Arjun to go with him to Mumbai, leaves a watch (which Bhairav gave him on his eighteenth birthday celebration) and a note cautioning that on the off chance that he searches for them, he will educate the police about how he truly manhandled Arjun. Both the siblings leave their home towards another life.
